Mariette Bothma

Occupational Therapist

Born and raised in Bloemfontein, I matriculated in 2010 and was fortunate to be accepted into the OT program at UFS. I graduated from the program in 2014, followed by my community service at Phekolong District Hospital in Bethlehem, where after I started working in Private practice.

I completed an introductory and advance course in play therapy in 2017. In 2019 completed my BOBATH NDT course on assessment and management of patients with neurological conditions. I also completed a course on Functional Capacity Evaluations. In 2020, I completed the post graduate diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Pretoria.

I am passionate about helping people. Being an occupational therapist has granted me the opportunity to change people’s life through participation in occupations. Helping others are also my main drive for furthering my knowledge and skills in order to enable individuals to achieve their best potential.
